We are writing in appreciation for the excellent construction job completed for us in 2017.  The work consisted of some demolition and then adjoining a large addition to an old two story farmhouse with full foundation.  The project involved everything from a new heating system, septic system, electrical system and landscaping to go along with the construction.  From beginning to end we shared nearly a year.

Glenn Lang is a gentleman of integrity and honesty as well as knowledgable in all construction matters and detail. He is particular and makes sure that everything he does is to the customers satisfaction.  Glenn gave us innumerable ideas and suggestions to aid in our decision making - all to our advantage.  We made many changes and he was always willing to help us with them as well as to point out a better way to handle a situation.  His crew were also very knowledgeable and trustworthy.  

We have a spacious addition and are enjoying all the special conveniences, many of which were Glenn's ideas.  Our experience with Glenn Lang and sons has been one of excellence, respect and friendship for which we are grateful.  As a builder we give Glenn and his crew the highest recommendation.

The Lang’s have recently completed a significant remodel and addition to our home in the Adirondacks.  Over the years they have successfully completed numerous projects including: porch, tavern, windows and ceilings.  Because of the great work and relationship with Glenn and Seth without question we chose them for our largest and most complex project.

 

Glenn Lang and Son’s are a different kind of contractor than we have dealt with on many other homes.  Rather than relying on subcontractors for every aspect of the project- they are actively engaged performing critical tasks such as planning, excavation, foundation, electrical, plumbing, roofing, drywall and installation of the bathroom & kitchen.  This enables them to control all aspects and deliver a high quality project.

Our remodel was extremely complex integrating a significant addition into an 1850’s farmhouse.  The project included every aspect of construction: from digging out for a basement and dealing with what appeared to be a spring in the construction area, to demolishing the old foundation and structure from the kitchen to the areas above including a bedroom and bath, to adding a garage, new kitchen, family room, bedroom, bathrooms, and bonus room.

 

They are master carpenters and installed much custom trim to match the 1850’s farmhouse look of our house. A significant amount of hand made and stained trim work was completed in the old tavern section of the house.   The flooring is pine stained to match the existing and required many custom fittings to tie into the old flooring. The kitchen is open and airy with a large bank of windows and an old-time look with modern amenities. The bathrooms have the look and feel of a farmhouse with modern features.  New doors and windows were installed in all the renovated areas. Particular attention was paid to insulation, which has paid off over the past two winters.

 

As with all large remodels it was a much larger than we initially envisioned, but the Lang’s did an excellent job and we are extremely pleased with the finished product.

 

We would highly recommend them based on their honesty, integrity, and attention to a high quality finished work product.
